Welcome to the Stingers Flag Football web-site.
‘Stingers’ Flag Football is the Green Hornets introduction into the sport of Football. The Stingers program is intended to be an introduction to the game for boys and girls who are not yet old enough to play in the tackle football program or younger players who prefer learning the game in a non-contact environment.
This program will focus primarily on the fundamentals of Football. As the season progresses Coaches will introduce more advanced skills and techniques utilizing fun practices, scrimmages, and games.
Registration:
Registration for the Fall 2009 Season begins May 15th! REGISTER EARLY as space could be limited. Once all slots have been filled players will be placed on a waitlist that may be opened up as we move closer to the season. Register online at www.greenhornets.com!
Objectives:
1. Have Fun!
2. Introduce and develop fundamentals of the game.
3. Build continuity into the Green Hornets program by introducing players to the sport at an earlier age.
Age Range:
Players who are born between 1/1/2002 and 12/31/2004 are eligible to play.
Volunteers:
We expect to have a significant number of players signed up for this new and exciting program, so we appreciate any and all Parent volunteers. Parents must go to the Green Hornets website to register to be a volunteer. You must also have completed the County background check – links to this form are available on the Green Hornets website.
